A Note on Tech Support Scams
If you are currently experiencing a pop-up on your screen that says your computer is locked, infected, or hacked, and it provides a phone number to call—do not call that number.
Microsoft, Apple, and Google will NEVER put a phone number on your screen and ask you to call them.
Those pop-ups are designed to cause panic. They are usually just full-screen websites. Pressing ESC, F11, or forcefully restarting your computer usually resolves the issue.
